Assalamualaikum and hello again everyone. I think I've lost the ability to make attention-catching introductions in my posts a long time ago sigh. Anyway, the previous post was very technical and I don't think there will be much difference here too, although I'll try to incorporate more.. emotions and thoughts here too?
A month (actually a month and one week exactly) has passed since I started college and there's already so many things going on. Already went through THREE tests, with an upcoming FOUR more tests coming up in the next two weeks. And all of these will be counted in the final scores gulp.
Detailed information here: Maths topic test 1 was just AHAHAHAHAHA idk what to comment on that. I'd like to thank the test for existing because if it wasn't for that, I wouldn't have made such an effort in understanding stuff I would usually procrastinate until the end of the term or something. I actually signed up for all four of the optional revision classes because I had such low understanding from my normal classes. Still didn't get to complete all the questions on time in the test though so that sucked. But hey, I'm getting the hang of how to use the GC. The next topic test will be in a fortnight's time, and I signed up for all three of the revision classes going on next week.
Meanwhile, English. Sigh. I thought I liked you. WE ALL THOUGHT WE LIKED YOU. Let's just say 80% of us didn't get to annotate, take notes and paraphrase everything in time for the first test. Amira and I were cackling like mad after we were done because we did so bad. The second test, summarizing was better though although not sure if my in-text citation was correct.. ANYWAY. English classes changed from a 100 to 0 real quick with all the exercises and homework we are bombarded with. Very worried about the next test coming up about what we're learning now which is synthesizing. The first two exercises got our brains jumbled up, the information was as tough as treacle to squeeze out asdfghjkl three hours to complete one exercise how in the world will I be able to do it in an hour during the test idek.
Fun-wise, it's amazing how we can find things to laugh about in even the most dullest environment. I live for the moments when we laugh until tears fall out or when we can feel abs forming lel; whether it's clutching on the canopy walk rail from laughter explosions on the way back, in the middle of English or while learning calculus, attempting to finish homework at night, or just after posting weird Whatsapp messages - these are precious memories I am thankful to have. Must have been there to compensate the suppressed stress and sadness happening at the same time or else we'll go crazy.
So far only went to Sunway Pyramid twice while I'm here. The first was two weeks ago? Went with Sheann, Tiffany, Amira and Ira after class by the canopy walk to watch Suicide Squad. Unpopular opinion but before watching it, I agreed on how people were tweeting about Joker and Harley Quinn NOT being relationship goals because of his abusive nature and all, and thought wow why would people even like their relationship.. BUT after watching the movie I can't blame people for admiring (?) the relationship because BASED ON THE MOVIE ALONE the Joker did show he cared for Harley by jumping after her at the chemical bath scene, continuously trying to free and let her escape, and letting her jump off during the helicopter scene which essentially saved her life. But yes, I do know in the comics and the removed scenes things couldn't be more different. Conclusion: Comic Joker = bye. Movie Joker = hi. We all agreed that we prefer Heath Ledger's Joker though.
especially Dato' Lee Chong Wei.
I thought I was done with Eco stuff once I step out of high school BUT NO I WENT TO TWO TREE-PLANTING EVENTS FOR TWO WEEKENDS IN A ROW. The first one was free for everyone and yay we planted 100 trees woohoo and at least there were familiar faces.
The second one was an event under the Sunway Student Volunteers club which I joined (more about that later) with me not knowing anyone but yay made new friends and we planted 500 trees this time ahahaha.
So like mentioned before I joined the volunteering club in which they would inform if there's any volunteering activities like giving tuition for refugees, English classes to UPSR students, tree planting, recycling, food charity / soup kitchen, animal welfare etc related activities and you just need to sign up if you're interested. It's great that if you can't volunteer before this due to transportation because the club provides it for the members.
Next week's going to be hectic since there is the MUFY Sharity carnival coming up on Thursday. Reminds me of a mini version of my school's Hari K hmmm there's coupons and all with booths selling food, drinks, books, artwork, henna, mani/pedi, facepainting, games and there will even be a ghost house! And ALL the money goes to Dialogue In The Dark, a charity organization for the blind so DO COME IF YOU'RE FREE ANYTIME FROM 10AM TO 3PM OK. Somehow I've gotten involved in helping to sell the coupons zzzzz I have ten booklets worth RM10 each to sell and I might be there to.. paint.. stuff... or people's faces....
In terms of social progress I think I'm still quite very behind compared to other people. Sometimes I get so worried about posting anything in our programme's Whatsapp group but when I do it's always something super weird and then I contemplate on burying myself six feet under from the embarrassment and hoping people won't be annoyed and the cycle repeats. I would go like okay okay keep it lowkey you don't talk that much in real life anyway why do you want to post messages there where you never talk to the people who post a lot there okay let's not post anything for the next one month BUT THEN NOO MY BRAIN AND FINGERS WILL SOMEHOW TYPE OUT SOMETHING I'm just like.. why....... On a positive note though, us JPA people are being on friendly terms with each other so that's nice.
Managed to finish reading Jodi Picoult's storybook which she wrote with her daughter called Between The Lines. It was fine; I think my younger self would have been obsessed with the plot and all. Dean and DAY6's album has been playing on repeat while I'm doing work. Also obsessed with YG Entertainment's new girlgroup, BLACKPINK. It's so hard to choose a bias there and I'm glad they're getting their own show soon. Jennie's rapping voice reminds me of CL while Lisa of Hyuna (don't hate me for that opinion kkk). I'm also keeping up with this show called Hit The Stage, it's just so nice to watch all the performances of each newly released episode on Thursdays.
That's all for now. See you!

The second time was last week during Lee Chong Wei's epic legendary match with Lin Dan for the Olympics. The place was packed and even while eating dinner, people were cheering and we could talk to the waiter freely asking updates about the match. Post-Olympics-feels are still not over. We still watch videos from Viktor Axelsen speaking Mandarin tongue twisters to squeal-worthy interviews of Lee Chong Wei and Wong Mew Choo's experience of their love in high school HAHAHAHAHAH. Random facts: Lee Chong Wei's wife and Lin Dan's wife went against each other before several times in matches and both of them had won against each other. Also another random fact: Lin Dan started liking his then-future-wife Xie Xingfang when he was 14!!!! And she was 16!! I might even just go to Dataran Merdeka during Independence Day this Wednesday to see our Malaysian Olympics heroes So like mentioned before I joined the volunteering club in which they would inform if there's any volunteering activities like giving tuition for refugees, English classes to UPSR students, tree planting, recycling, food charity / soup kitchen, animal welfare etc related activities and you just need to sign up if you're interested.
