Today, I found this on Yahoo Answers, feeling angry that my brother said that all K-Pop songs are from American songs.

Please, just, stop with this whole K-Pop plagiarism thing!! D:
There are millions of cases of plagiarism around the world & you just HAVE to complain about the one that deals with K-Pop? Seriously, what do you have against Korea? I think you truly hate this country. WHY, may I ask?
If you want to talk about music plagiarism, let's go even further with it. Basically, ALL music is a copy of music from the past with a twist. & that's all there is to it. Are you seriously just going to say that Korea's the only country that is inspired by American music? America is the most influential country in the world, I think everybody knows that. & ALL countries are influenced by the US to some degree & it shows in their music, movies, clothes, etc. & in return, America is influenced by other countries. The world is UNITED, meaning that we share & take ideas. Not EVERYTHING was invented by America & not EVERYONE is plagiarizing American work. So just back off.
"Almost all Korean music I heard sounds like copies of American music I grew up listening."
Are you kidding? You seem like such a K-Pop anti, WHAT Korean songs have you heard? & almost ALL of it sounds like copies of American music? Like WHAT?! You couldn't even list some examples? Yeah, that's really going to get people to believe you. Umm, do you not know that that American music is copies of music from the past? Nothing nowadays is original. All we can do is put a slight twist in it. One of the reasons why I started liking K-Pop so much was because it was such a new experience. Of course, there are some cases where some Korean songs do borrow from other songs but what genre doesn't? It's called being inspired/influenced. Like GD did a Korean remake of This Love, SHINee's Love Like Oxygen & Juliette used the song of American artists but added their own vocals. GD & SHINee made the song theirs by adding their own style to it. Which is what many artists have done. & they got rights to use the song beat. Yesterday, the Beatles song, has had over 3,000 cover versions of it. Are you going to call all of the artists that have covered that song plagiarizing? That sounds ridiculous, right?
I don't understand why you post so many questions about kpop being copies of American music. There are plenty of people who like K-Pop & there are plenty that don't. Whatever. GET OVER IT. What good does it do to just bash it? What are you trying to accomplish? You're just looking for an argument by coming to a site where you KNOW there are K-Pop fans & posting wasteful questions like this. & to be honest, I find these questions quite offending because you're basically saying that Korea steals everything from America. That's really rude. As a Malaysian, I've always had to deal with people saying that we are racist, arrogant, ignorant, superficial, fake, wannabe white, & copiers of the Japanese, & Americans. It's tiring having so many people in the world believe this about us, it's disrespectful & gets old very fast.
So please, do all of us a favor & stop posting questions like this. Please. All you do is anger people. & besides, don't you have anything better to do? I mean, really. How sad is it to just be on the internet, thinking of more irrational questions to ask that just bash K-pop & Koreans in general?
P.S: I know some American, Indonesian, and even Indian songs that sounds almost the same like some Korean songs. Let's see. LMFAO's Lalala is like Big Bang's Heaven, Lady Gaga's Born This Way is like SNSD's Be Happy, Green Day's American Idiot is like Jo's Young-nam's Dosiyo Annyung, Atif Aslam's Pehli Nazar is like Kim Hyung Sup's Sarang Haeyo, Joker's Cinta Sebenarnya is like FT Island's Love Love Love. Warning, I did not say that they plagiarized, I just want to show you the examples of similarities in two different songs that some of you people are so sensitive with and call it plagiarizing.
Pfft see what I found. In one anonymous online Japanese community called 2CH (Two Channel), many netizens started arguing if SNSD's The Boys was plagiarized or not one hour after the song was out. According to this community, "The Boys" is very similar to a song from the OST of the Anime Movie "Macross Frontier." The song title is "Pink Monsoon," sung by May'n.
Excuse me? If you listen to the whole song they are completely different. The non-2CH netizens from Japan said, "At first, you could think that there are similarities, it is not the same song."
According to the SNSD's fans, "It is not possible to talk about plagiarism. This song is by Teddy Riley, a famous American producer, how can you say that Riley stole from 'Pink Monsoon?'"The Korean netizens commented, "It is clear that the Japanese seem tired of the Hallyu stars, but they exagerated with the plagiarism story."
And also, who doesn't know about the story of G-Dragon's song Heartbreaker that was supposedly plagiarized from Flo Rida's Right Round.

They performed together. Enough said.
I also want to explain how Corbin Bleu's Deal With It and SHINee's Juliette is completely the same except for the lyrics. I just can't stand it when all these people come and say that SHINee ripped off Corbin Bleu's song, SHINee plagiarized Corbin Bleu's song yadda yadda. I have said this before, get your facts right before you make yourself look stupid.

Click on it if it's not big enough. Yes, it's from Wikipedia.
And to the dear fans of BEAST, do you know that there were accusations that the song Fiction is plagiarized from Enrique Iglesias ft. Nicole Scherzinger's Heartbeat? Horrible, I know. They listen to a part of the song and then they go "OH ZIS SONG IS ACTUALLY AN ENGLISH SONG. PENIRU CIPLAK BETUL." I suggest you go and read back what I said about this whole K-Pop plagiarism thing. And I also want to advise whoever that accuses that it was plagiarized, dosa fitnah tu lebih teruk daripada membunuh :) And anyway, your argument was invalid, because only you think that way as I don't see any other people complaining or commenting on both of the videos about the similarities AT ALL. Please, listen to both songs until the end.
So, to continue my ranting, I watched a Kids React To video, this time Kids React To K-Pop. Actually, I'm satisfied with their answers and I think most of the reaction at the end were positive ones. There's just this one part when this boy was asked about how he thinks these groups are formed. He said something like "They (the people from recording labels) go to streets and they're like "Hey, do you sing?" "Yeah!" "Well, let's make a band! Let's make Super Junior!" Well, sorry to say, but no.
I'm copying this from Yahoo Answers so don't mind the bad grammar and spelling.
K-Pop Artist might seem so fun and good to be. But you don't know from behind the scene. Sometimes you might get forced to do something. Recommended to do plastic surgery. And some people say that if you disobey, they will threaten you to not let you debut and kick you out.
Also being a trainee is not an easy thing. You have to practice all day and night. Also see how old are you, and do you still need to go school. School + Training all day = Misery. In the K-Pop industry, I believe there sexual favours will be asked. But let's hope it doesn't happen to you. Not sure whether you've heard this news, one of the actress in Boys After Flowers who has done over 100 sexual favours committed suicide.
You have to go on a strict diet, not allowing to eat your favourite food. You eat things like salad, chicken breast that is not fried or anything but boiled naturally which makes it plain tasted. Almost all idol is like under 50kg and an average K-Pop girl idol is like 45kg or even less. Besides training on your vocal and dancing, you would have to learn other language which is mainly Japanese and Chinese in case your group gets to debut in Japan/China.
Sometime you might not like the clothes that you have to wear. It is either uncomortable or weird or exposes a lot of skin. You wouldn't want to wear shorts in winter, but example: The costume in SNSD's Genie? When they perform.. I can't imagine how cold they are.
You train like 8 hours everyday. Actually it depends what company you go to. If you do want to be successful, please don't go to small companies, a lot of them end up closing down. Go to SM, JYP, CUBE, or YG Entertainment.
By the way, how long would you train for? You don't know. 2, 3, 4, 5 years? Depends on how talented you are. You said you're half Korean, can you speak Korean though? If not I believe it would take longer than 2 years. 2 years or more is not a short time.
Being a trainee, doesn't mean you have 100% chance to debut. You might end up becoming a back up dancer. If you fail that mean you wasted over a year when you can use the money for education! When they train you, they wouldn't tell you if you make it or not. But if you train for a quite long time and haven't debuted yet, you are will most likely know and leave quietly or wait till you're 25 and be kicked out properly.
A girl have this thing called period. Even though when the time comes for it, you still need to practice or perform. Won't care how much cramp or tired you get, you will be forced to just carry on and perform or pratice! What if you're on a variety show then? You are forced to act happy and funny.
Image is important, make up every day is bad for you skin. Losing weight is bad, apparently if you keep losing weight then you won't able to have child when your older. Bleaching or smoothing cream on your body, is bad, it's chemical! You will have bad skin. Hair spraying your hair is bad, makes it brittle and stuff. Same goes to straightening and curling. Sometimes in pictures, celeb hairs look so perfect. It's actually all the sprays and chemicals.
And another problem is, when you debut is your group going to get famous? Or is going to be disbanded? And goodness, too many groups debuted this year. You're gonna compete with them! The new band this year are Chocolat, AA, Boyfriend, Pledis Boy, Dal Shabet, Clinah, Rania and many many many more. Approx 20 new groups this year.
Signing a contract, you are most likely not allowed to date, so even if you secretly date, if you are caught there will be big trouble and your manager will be very angry!
Haters. You will certainly get haters, and they will say nasty things to you, saying you do plastic sugery, can't sing, can't dance, no talent, say that you've done a lot of sex, and bad things! You wouldn't like to hear that.
Fans. Some crazy fan will stalk you at night, send you scary gifts. Apparently a fan sent a letter to some K-Pop idolboy group and it was written in blood. Wow! Hangeng the former member of Super Junior got sent a cake that was poisonous (I am not sure was it him or some other celeb). And another K-Pop artist, was given a bottle of water which turned out to be poisonous super glue etc. Taeyeon, the leader of SNSD, got a pedophile or perverted older man sending messages to her. She told him to stop and the man replied 'If you plan continuing your life as a celebrity, do you really think you can cut ties with me just like that?' So this guy must be some manager or some high position worker...
K-Pop stars earns less than American stars. American stars get about 30-50% of the profit where else K-Pop stars get about 10-15% of the profit. Even thought if you get that 10% profit, you have to share it between your members. Imagine a group like SNSD with 9 members.
After your career you may be having babies, having a family but then it will be after you're 30 or 35. I think that a bit late to be a mom. Oh the one, would you find the one? Your love or is he gonna just like you because your his idol ideal girl or your money?
I got more to say but. THINK! It not a long reliable career!
Wow I think this must be one of the longest post I have here. OKlah, Assalamualaikum.
