Taking a break

Assalamualaikum, hello. It's finals season, which will end this Thursday followed by a one month ++ semester break. I've really decided to not sign up for any additional stuff next semester and just focus on Honours and writing my thesis. I also hope to really just enjoy the break before that properly without feeling stressed out about not doing more, plus will still have to start with my Honours stuff anyway and complete some compulsory courses that I didn't have the time to do this semester. Just some other things I'd like to do:

• Finish my puasa ganti ASAP
• Read the books that I wanted to read but didn't have the time now: KL Noir Magic, the birthday present by Aynn about Islamic Mystics/Poets which include Rumi etc., and that Finding Purpose book received as a free gift when I was in SOLS Health haha.
• Watch K-Dramas: 
• Penthouse series. It's one of the most popular series in Korea because of the amount of drama in it haha. When even a 1% viewer rating is considered high for a K-Drama, this series have reached over 30%, millions of people there watch it including idols and other celebrities. Season 3 have just started recently with over 20% viewer ratings in just the first episode. I'm excited to be enraged and frustrated while watching this hahah. 
• Nevertheless. I'm a fan of Song Kang, enough said. Am also reading the webtoon now, so I'm excited to see how it looks like in real life. 
• Move To Heaven. Saw so many people raving over this! Apparently it's quite sad?
• Draw, paint
• GET ENOUGH SLEEP EVERY DAY AND SLEEP BEFORE 12!!!!

Moving on to some K-Pop related stuff that has been distracting me instead of actually studying lol. Kingdom: Legendary War just ended. Will not miss it definitely haha. Loved the performances of IKON, SF9 and BTOB especially. I don't think I could get through the semester if it wasn't for looking forward to watching the live stream of the show every Thursday evening. Reminds me of MUFY times when I was engrossed and very attached to Produce 101 Season 2, I think I was watching it even the night before I had a paper instead of studying haha. 

Next is B.I / Kim Hanbin's debut / comeback! If you scroll through my old blog posts you would know that I have been a big fan of IKON even from their predebut days. Thus, it really broke my heart when my favorite member, the leader, B.I. left the group in 2019 involuntarily and for two years, there were no updates of him besides random spottings by fans which were like K-Drama encounters lol. I think the only news people had of him were news of him volunteering and donating to countless charities over the years. So yeah, recently, he came back with a whole album with 12 songs and they are all MASTERPIECES. He didn't get the Songwriter of the Year for nothing. Some of my favorites are:

Illa Illa. The title track from his album. Watch it with the English subtitles! Apparently, it's the first song he wrote after leaving IKON. It is now the highest viewed soloist MV of all time. The lyrics are amazing, am always a sucker for great lyrics. Also there were comments from Koreans saying that when people were dressed up nicely like in a suit and going to the sea, it signified that the person was contemplating to commit s**c*de :( I'm glad he is able to get back up and return stronger than ever. Listen to the song, it's good from the first listen!

Anyway, glad that his mother has been there for him throughout this challenging time. All of his videos released so far has MOTHER credited at the end which is quite touching.
