why complicate a simple thing

WARNINGWARNINGWARNING
SENSITIVETOPICAHEAD

This post is related to Islam, and well, you can still read this if you're not a Muslim hahaha.

This is my view, and, well, you might disagree with it or have different ideas but this is what my honest opinion is.

I wish those especially women would strongly defend for their religion as strongly as they defend women against people who judge them on what they wear.

They need to understand, Allah wants us to cover our auraah not to oppress us, no, never- it's also not to show that women is a less dominant species than men, no no no.

It's because Allah loves us. He cherishes us so, so much. He wants to protect us. It's a sign that He cares for us deeply. Allah wants to protect us from being harrassed.

True, women do get harrassed even when they cover their auraah. Of course, it's never the victim's fault for what she wore. Allah sees us as precious as that. Imagine you having a cute small daughter that you love very much. You see lots of grown-up men outside. Would you be comfortable letting her out with revealing clothes or covered up - with the eyes of the men watching her? She may be more comfortable in the former but you as a mother know, you as a mother want to protect your daughter.

A lot of people say they don't dress up without covering their auraah to please males, they don't dress up to please anyone but because it's for themselves and they are comfortable of doing it, they are comfortable of their own body.

I just wonder sometimes, if you're comfortable with your own body, then why is it so uncomfortable for you to cover it? Why is it so uncomfortable for you being comfortable with it for what it is, not because how it looks like in a certain clothing that shows your curves? If you're so comfortable with your body, you should be comfortable enough to not think yourself as looking huge or out of shape when you're wearing loose clothes. Forgive me, but those are my thoughts.

Think about your parents, siblings and friends who has sinned for not advising you. For yourself. As a sign of gratitude and respect for Allah who has created you and given you so many blessings. If you still wonder why you should cover your auraah, simple - because you are a Muslim. Because Allah has asked you to do it. Isn't that a good reason enough - obeying your Creator's command?

I write this post not out of any spiteful intentions, nor because I think I am better than others. I myself still have a lot to learn to become a better Muslimah. I wrote this because I care. I care and I am scared for my friends. I love my friends and I know they deserve so much more in the afterlife.

Doesn't mean that after reading this you should straight away change 360 degrees and start covering up when you go out. I mean, I won't judge people who still remains the same. Sure, no pressure. Take your time. But then.

p.s this goes to guys too. please don't rape people. imagine if it happens to any of your family members. have more self-control pls. and don't judge others so much, no one grew up the same way as you did and no one was taught the same things like you. sometimes, other people's turning point comes later but changes them far greater than how we are now.

P.S I am in the middle of studying for my tasawur paper tomorrow hahaha pROCRASTINATION
